Temecula, CA City Hall

Located in beautiful Temecula, California!

Singing Wire Web Design was located in lovely Temecula, California for several reasons.

  • Our founder’s young granddaughters are only an hour and a half away.
  • The weather here is wonderful.
  • The location is convenient to Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, Idyllwild and Palm Springs.
  • Traffic is a breeze here.
  • There are palm trees!
  • You can get to the Pacific beaches in less than an hour.
  • 140+ wineries just outside Temecula.
  • Cost of living is favorable.
  • Excellent schools.

Temecula’s climate is quite fascinating. It also has a lot to do with why there are so many wineries nearby.

Temecula has what is called a “Mediterranean” climate. In the early morning, it is often cool, overcast, and misty. By around 09:00 am, the overcast burns off, and you get strong sunshine. The temperatures can climb into the upper 80’s to upper 90’s Fahrenheit by noon.

The city is also nestled in a very large valley surrounded by the Santa Ana mountains, which are mostly around 5,600 feet or so above sea level. The valley plays a critical part in Temecula’s micro-climate. Temecula happens to be located just far North enough from the Pacific ocean that we get a strong cooling breeze around three in the afternoon. The mountains to our West prevent us from being much cooler during the main part of the day.

When it is hot here, it is dry and hot, and quite sunny. Yet the late afternoon and evening see the temperatures drop into the 60’s by ten or eleven PM. The evenings and nights are very comfortable.

Given the climate, and the commonly-known meaning of “Temeku” as “Place of the Sun,” much of life here is tied to the timing of the solar day. Early mornings see walkers, joggers, and bike riders. Folk go off to work early, and tend to come home early. Evenings are for pleasant walks and enjoying the many beautiful parks around the city, or Old Town. Family is very important here.

Every growing thing seems to love it here, including roses, wine grapes, and web designers. 🙂
